The active balancing of BMS can only play a limited role. At
present, more and more energy storage systems adopt a
one-cluster-one-management design, and the consistency of the
battery cells is getting better and better.
From the perspective of the operating effect, if active balancing
or equalizers are added, it is easy to increase the failure rate.
Through the one-cluster-one-management design,
the battery cells of third- and fourth-tier manufacturers can
achieve the effect of the top battery cells. Due to the relatively
lower price, most of the domestic source-grid side energy storage
systems are centralized architectures.
Industry insiders said that large storage systems with centralized
architectures also need to solve the problem of balancing between
clusters, and the requirements for balancing capabilities are
higher than those of string-type systems.
In order to cope with the problem that the passive balancing effect
of BMS is insufficient and active balancing is prone to cause
failures, more and more energy storage companies are developing
their own balancing technology.
However, configuring BMS active balancing or adding DC/DC modules
also means higher costs.
Enerkey learned from an interview that the 6.25MWh long-term energy
storage system solution launched by Enerkey can add external active
balancing equipment when the battery fails in the later stage.
Enerkey's self-developed active balancing device is also used for
balancing between batteries, but it is different from conventional

EK-16S2EB supports cascading use, and at least one battery between
every two equalizers is the "common end of energy exchange". The
following uses the 32S as an example to describe how to install and
connect cables:

1.When used in cascade, there is at least one "energy exchange
commonend" between every two equalizers. When welding, please note
whetherthe connection here is correct.
2.During cascading use, please check whether the wiring is
wrongrepeatedly.lf it cannot be used after connection, please
